Abstract: This paper is based on the information and empirical data collected through qualitative research methods. It is guided by the conceptual framework about (re)production of meanings through symbols and rituals then linked with the concepts of social exclusion to explain its relational status and social exclusion of Loba people. The finding suggests that the Kghyemba system and Loba culture exists together. This institution is instrumental to living in a Himalayan village of LoManthang.  Its role and significance manifest in community governance, resource management, and in the entire Loba cosmos including belief systems and rituals. Belief and rituals imagine, construct, and presents sacred symbols that ultimately (re)produce meaning and rationales in Loba society.  The finding also concludes that, Kghyemba system—despite being in the middle of Loba tradition and culture—is on the verge of social exclusion. This consequently leads cultural devaluation, social deprivation and political marginalization of Loba people.
