Conference of Young Women Researchers - 2011

Martin Chautari organized a Conference of Young Women Researchers - 2011 in Kathmandu, Nepal on 6–7 March 2011 (22–23 Fagun 2067). This conference had two main objectives: (i) to promote young women researchers in social science disciplines in Nepal and (ii) to promote women’s voices in the public domain with respect to important socio-political issues of Nepali society. A total of 17 papers were presented in the conference under four thematic areas: (i) politics, social experience, and changing identity, (ii) gender and empowerment, (iii) exclusion/inclusion, education, and development, and (iv) public health and environment.
