The Publisher

Studies in Nepali History and Society (ISSN: 1025-5109) is a co-publication of the Centre for Social Research and Development (Registration No. 285/051/052) and Martin Chautari (Registration No. 289/059/060), both Nepali NGOs. SINHAS is a bi-annual journal published by Mandala Book Point in Kathmandu, Nepal. Each issue is approximately 200 pages. Mandala Book Point publishes books on Nepal and the Himalayas. Its bookstore in Kathmandu is situated in Kantipath. Mandala ships books from its large stock worldwide. Contact Mandala Book Point to subscribe to SINHAS and with your Himalayan book requests.


Copyright and Reprinting

Mandala Book Point holds copyright to all material appearing in Studies in Nepali History and Society unless otherwise noted in the journal. Persons wishing to photocopy SINHAS articles for personal or classroom use are free to do so. Those wishing to reproduce an article for any other purpose (general distribution, advertising or promotional purposes, translation, creating new collective works, or resale) must obtain permission from SINHAS and Mandala.

NOTE:

Due to higher than projected production and mailing costs, international subscription rates were increased for Volume 2 (1997). There has been no increase thereafter. International subscription income helps to subsidize making SINHAS available at the lowest price possible within the subcontinent.

Methods of Payment

International subscriptions payable in U.S. currency by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or bank draft. Be sure to include date of expiration and sign your order if paying with a credit card. Please note that personal checks cannot be accepted and that subscription requests can be processed only at the Kathmandu address above.

What you Receive

SINHAS is published semi-annually in June and December. Each volume (2 issues) is approximately 400 pages. SINHAS publishes articles in all areas of the humanities and social sciences by academics, creative writers and individuals engaged in applied and activist work in Nepal. International subscriptions are sent by airmail, registered bookpost.
