Library and Media Documentation Centre

Encouraging research into issues relating to media freedom, practices and democracy necessitates the provision of easily accessible materials and resources. Hence in 2005 MC established a Research Library and Media Documentation Centre in its premises to consolidate the holdings of all reference items useful to students, journalists, activists and researchers. We are in the process of collecting media-related books, journals, souvenirs, magazines, reports, theses, seminar papers etc. We are also collecting audio and video magazines, documentaries and films. As of now our collection already includes about 6000 books (out of which about 1600 deal with the media), 161 seminar papers, 97 theses, 113 unpublished reports, and a few magazines and audio-video materials. All of these items have already been made accessible to all interested persons free of charge since July 2006.

Now opened for all from sunday to friday, 10:30 am to 5:30 pm.
