This year we received 17 applications in total. First screening of the application was made by the media research group of Martin Chautari based on the completeness of the application. Fourteen applicants passed through this first screening. Their application was then independently evaluated by a selection committee comprising of Kundan Aryal from INSEC, Manju Thapa from Asmita Women's Publication and Rama Parajuli from Kantipur Daily. This committee selected eight candidates for interview. Based on the judgment of this committee, four candidates were selected as fellows for 2007.
